"Hi! I’m Marta. From my workshop in Galicia, Spain, I create handcrafted lamps that bring warmth to homes and professional spaces across Europe. KÄTN was born from a passion for textures, traditional craftsmanship, and the conviction that lighting should be as unique as the people who live within it.

I don’t believe in mass production. To ensure the highest quality and precision, I use standardized frames for my iconic models, while hand-forging the structures myself for bespoke, custom commissions. This allows me to focus my energy on what truly defines a KÄTN lamp: the meticulous hand-spinning process.

Every piece is hand-spun by me. It is a rhythmic and meditative process where I wind kilometers of high-quality fiber around the frames to create a play of light and shadow that no machine could ever replicate. When you receive a KÄTN lamp, you are receiving hours of my time, my dedication, and the work of my own hands.

My work spans from boutique private studios—such as Luv Studio, Chantal Forzatti, Amélie Colombet, Favouriteinteriur Studio22 , Studio2b.plentzia—to large-scale projects like the Kaspar Schmauser restaurants in Germany.in collaboration with Studio_esw Whether I am designing for a bustling restaurant or a quiet bedroom, my goal remains the same: to create a cozy, organic atmosphere.
